Rogač is the main port on the island of Solta, which lies in front of the famous tourist resort of Split, one of the most visited in all of yacht charter Croatia. The direct ferry line to the village which can also cater to cars as well as passengers several times a day makes Rogač seem like a suburb of Split.
The port is the main dwelling on the island and some consider it the oldest, being the link to the mainland. There are some other villages on Solta, such as Necujam and Stomorska. Yacht charter Rogač is believed to have been inhabited since Roman times judging by the remains of the farms found here by archaeologists.

Most of the activity in Rogač is centered around the ferry port, which also has a local yacht charter base ready to offer you either a boat for hire or experienced crews to help you navigate or suggest some interesting itineraries.
When travelling to Rogač you should expect to find smaller crowds than the ones in Split, but of considerable size, considering that the locals choose this place as a weekend getaway and some tourists come here for daytrips simply for the beauty and the accessibility of the place.
